Joint opening of Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) 2022 and CleanEnviro Summit Singapore (CESG) 2022 will include a keynote address by Singapore’s Minister for Sustainability and the Environment Ms Grace Fu, followed by a moderated dialogue.

A combined SIWW-CESG high-level plenary forum of environment and water leaders from government, international organisations, and industry.
WATER LEADERS SUMMIT (19 April 2022) • Plenary 1: Mitigating Climate Impacts: Transiting towards a Low-Carbon Sustainable Future
This session examines how the urban water sector is transiting towards a low-carbon and sustainable future to mitigate against the impacts of climate change, and what are the policies, initiatives and technologies needed to achieve net zero.
• Plenary 2: Adapting to Climate Impacts: Building Resilience against Extreme Weather Events and Sea Level Rise
This session focuses on climate impacts caused by extreme weather events and sea-level rise, and the adaptive measures taken by governments and businesses to safeguard urban communities and built environment from the threats of inland and coastal floods.
• Plenary 3: Adapting to Climate Impacts: Strengthening Water Security against Dry Weather Events
This session focuses on climate impacts caused by droughts and dry weather spells, and the adaptive measures taken to strengthen water security and reliability to safeguard human lives, well-being, and socio-economic development in urban communities.
• Plenary 4: Global Water Megatrends in the Post-2025 World
Consolidating the views from more than 100 global water leaders, this session examines the key drivers and megatrends that will shape the water world in the next 10-15 years.

LEE KUAN YEW WATER PRIZE LECTURE & PRIZE CEREMONY AND BANQUET (18 April 2022)Named after Singapore’s first Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew, the Prize honours outstanding contributions by individuals or organisations towards solving the world’s water challenges by developing or applying innovative technologies, policies or programmes which benefit humanity. The Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize 2020 Laureate will deliver his lecture on 18 April 2022, Monday.
In the same evening, the laureate will receive the Prize Medallion from Mdm Halimah Yacob, President of the Republic of Singapore at the Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize Award Ceremony and Banquet at The Ritz Carlton, Millenia, Singapore.
